LVHA Philanthropies

One of the goals of LVHA is to be a leader in philanthropic gifts and scholarships to the Southern Nevada Community and the travel and tourism industry.  LVHA has established 4 Scholarship Programs, 2 Endowments, helped with funding on 2 member scholarships and are in the process of establishing 2 additional scholarships by the end of 2006.   Since 1999, LVHA has raised over $250,000 for scholarships and charities.   LVHA is constantly working to fulfill its goal to make education a priority within the growing needs of our industry, organization and community.  To accomplish these goals we have established the following scholarships and endowments:

LVHA established an endowment fund at CSN in 2006 to offer scholarships to students in need that attend CSN tourism or hospitality schools.

In 2005, LVHA established the Larry Paluzzi Scholarship Endowment at CSN. Larry was a member of LVHA for over 30 years. LVHA also helped to fund the Kathleen Tomasi Scholarship Endowment at CSN. Kathleen was a member of LVHA for 7 years.

LVHA has contributed food, gift certificates, toys, clothing and many more items to numerous Southern Nevada Community Charities such as:

The Las Vegas Hospitality Association encompasses a broad spectrum of companies supporting the tourism, convention and hospitality fields in Southern Nevada.  We are proud that our members and industry are committed to the goals of our organization.  Their support and donations have established our scholarship and endowment programs and implemented our charity donations.
